Divine tunes from North India

Born in Chandigarh (north-west India), Gurpreet got his initial music training from the renowned Indian classical musician, Mr. Partha Sen. He is also the disciple of Pt. Shyam Ji (disciple of the world famous flautist, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia). Gurpreet is mostly a self-taught musician. Within few years he became an expert in handling different instruments as well as beautiful singing. He is also an integral part of Gharana Fusion band.

 

Gurpreet plays multi-instruments, namnely, Bansuri (Indian Bamboo flute), Punjabi and Sindhi Alghoza (double flutes), Dizi, Ocariana, English Flute, Melodica, Tumbi, Harmonium, Tin Whistle, Recorder, Bagpipe, Bugchu (Punjabi Folk Percussion Instrument), Dhad (Punjabi Folk Percussion Instrument)

 

Till date Gurpreet has given spectacular live concerts in different Indian cities and some foreign nations. He is also the holder of innumerable music rankings, awards and appreciations.

 

Gurpreet has performed with renowned celebrities like, Gurdas Mann (legendary singer of Punjab), Ankit Tiwari ('Teri Galiyan' fame - Bollywood Singer), B. Praak ('Teri Mitti' fame - singer), Hardy Sandhu.
